upside down. For those of you who still don’t know, there’s a judge that wants to investigate the missing people murdered by Franco’s regime.
This sounds logical so far,no? well, let me tell you that this judge that is now trying to look like a progressive defender of human rights is NOTHING BUT THE OPPOSITE!!
As we’re gonna explain you in a while, Judge Garzón has covered up and promoted BRUTAL TORTURES on human beings!! Specially the ones that took place during the Olympics in Barcelona against all the nationalist ( where common people were illegally dragged from their homes without any proofs, just as a “prevention” against the spreading of Catalan independentism infront the world’s eyes) Even Amnesty International or United Nations have strongly complaint about this pathetic attack against human dignity.
The worst thing is not that a hypocrite judge is trying to use this case of victims of fascism to cleanse his personal image, but that the maximum judicial authority has denied him to do so!!! WHAT KIND OF COUNTRY IS THIS??? The “Tribunal Supremo” have denied a judge to study the missing people in unknown mass graves all around the country in an act of historical debt. Why?? Because the ones ruling the country are still Franco’s chosen to be there, disguised fascist Spaniards nostalgic of other times!
Why is it forbidden in this pathetic country to prosecute murderers that tortured and murdered over 100.000 people during more than 40 years of illegal dictatorship? Of course, Franco’s spaniards cover themselves with their own made laws and constitutions, in 1977 there was a general self proclaimed amnesty for all of them!
Luckily this scuffle between the Tribunal Superior and Garzón has unmasked spains real face to the rest of the World. Newspapers such as “The New York Times”, “The Economist”,”, “Le Monde”, “Süddeutsche Zeitung” have dedicated articles to this matter with headlines such as: “An Injustice in spain (NYT)”. This has definitely bothered all the untouchable elite judges, they have no more International credibility; they never had it here anyway.
Anyway, let’s see what kind of judge bears the banner of justice and human rights in this 3rd world country:

No es vano recordar que realiza su actividad jurisdiccional desde la herencia más envenenada recibida de la Justicia franquista, la Audiencia Nacional, sustituta del TOP Tribunal de Orden Público. Más aún, sabiendo perfectamente que las jurisdicciones especiales son la esencia de los regímenes totalitarios. La naturaleza arbitraria de este tribunal fue oportunamente señalada por el propio Relator para los Derechos Humanos en la Lucha Antiterrorista, Martin Scheinin.
No es baladí apuntar que en su actuación ha impulsado casos contra medios de comunicación, asociaciones populares, partidos políticos e incluso defensores de derechos humanos, que se deben calificar como una agresión directa a la libertad de expresión y al derecho de libre asociación pacífica. El propio Comité de Derechos Humanos hizo recientemente patente su preocupación al respecto.
No es gratuito traer a estas líneas que Garzón, en su actividad diaria al frente del Juzgado especial que dirige, da orden de detener a personas acusadas de terrorismo bajo el régimen de incomunicación, verdadero espacio de impunidad en el que se producen brutales torturas.
Organismos como el Comité para la Prevención de la Tortura del Consejo de Europa –CPT, el Comité contra la Tortura –CAT o diferente Relatores Contra la Tortura del sistema de Naciones Unidas han reclamado reiteradamente la abolición de esta modalidad de detención, cuya aplicación lleva la rúbrica de este magistrado.
No es trivial recordar que el juez, ahora elevado a la condición de defensor de derechos humanos por varias asociaciones, se ha mostrado impasible ante las denuncias de tortura que le narraban detenidos bajo su responsabilidad. Entre otros, el ciudadano vasco Josu Arkauz, cuyo testimonio de tortura fue considerado por el CPT “detallado y coherente” y que reprochaba al Juzgado no 5 que no adoptó medidas “repetidamente recomendadas por el CPT” para evitarlas. Esta es la línea argumental seguida también en el caso de los detenidos en Catalunya en la llamada «Operación Garzón» durante los Juegos Olímpicos de Barcelona, caso ante el que el Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos sentenciaba el 2 de noviembre de 2004 que las investigaciones de tortura no habían sido «los suficientemente profundas y efectivas para cumplir con las exigencias de los tratados internacionales».

Conocemos, pues, la actitud de Garzón en el ámbito internacional, así como la conocemos en el doméstico. Sabemos de su interés por aparecer como el juez progresista, para poder así llevar a cabo una actitud represiva sin parangón, desde los despachos del tribunal excepcional de la Audiencia Nacional. Hemos visto de primera mano su pasividad con la tortura en sus quehaceres diarios, así como hemos podido constatar que su actividad en el ámbito internacional en el ámbito de los derechos humanos no es más que un ligero barniz, sin que sus acciones en ningún caso hayan pasado de ser testimoniales. Verificamos, por fin, los excesos de su tribunal, que denunciamos de la misma manera que denunciamos los excesos que otros tribunales comenten ahora con el juez Garzón. La admisión a trámite de la presente querella por querer investigar los crímenes contra la humanidad cometidos durante el periodo franquista, es atentatoria contra la declaración de imprescriptibilidad de los delitos de lesa humanidad por el Comité de Derechos Humanos de la ONU y contra el sentido común. Desde esa legitimidad, no podemos sino oponemos a la designación de este juez como defensor de derechos humanos, cuando su actuación ha sido, mientras le era favorable a sus intereses, idéntica a la que ahora denuncia.

Well then since I’m injured and am not able to go caving at the moment, I’ll tell you about our cientific research in Grallera del Corralot, It’s one of Catalonia’s biggest cave halls with its 96.5m from the floor to the ceiling. Located in Montesec d'Ares, really worth seeing, It’s got many different routes, from which we chose the one that gets to a small “lake” at about -166.5m.
